Back tracking on these few years.

To sum it all up, people come and go. Time to cut some of those strings of dangling friendships.

Yea..

The worst part about appearing strong in the eyes of your peers.. is that no one truly cares about how you feel inside.

Time to move on.

Why is it that you trust a person enough to tell them your most overwhelming secrets. Yea sure they tell you that they will be there for you. Yet.. they hardly speak to you. Especially when you try to keep in touch and they just bail on any type of conversation. I understand people are busy.. I also understand peoples own personal convenience. It just doesn’t hurt to say how are you doing.. how are things coming along. That sort of thing. I usually don’t let this type of thing get to me, but I just can’t scratch it off anymore. Thanks for the good memories and I appreciate every time you were there. I wish you the best of luck! I’ll always be around if anything. I’m just done trying..

The darkest of times can give birth to extraordinary things.

Defining moments you can look back upon and say…this is when everything changed.

This is when it all began..

We were born in the shadows of death.

And through this pain we found purpose.. something to believe in.

The thing that kills Bart the most about this is the patience required. It sounds like a small selfish thing without context—Tim could be dying one hospital room over after all—but he feels like he could handle it, that he could really be there for the others, if everything went faster.

If it didn’t take an eternity to set his fibula bone and heal it. If his metabolism didn’t burn through the anesthesia like lighting, refusing to let him sleep through any of it. If he weren’t stuck in this limbo of not knowing whether Tim would be okay or not.

Cassie is by Tim’s bed with her arm in a sling. Kon’s gone to get them all coffee. It’s not like they’re gonna sleep anyhow. Bart zips around the room, sniffing the flowers over and over again. Some more creative friend of Tim’s sent lilacs. The rest is the usual carnations, roses, and daisies. He thinks about gleaning out the roses when Cassie mentions that Tim doesn’t like them. It would only take a moment… but then he remembers how much Tim hates knowing people tampered with this stuff.

When Kon comes back, he has four cups of coffee, not three.

“Two for me?” Bart asks.

“Nope. Last one’s for Tim.”

Bart decides not to call him out on his optimism. If Kon wants to think that Tim’s going to wake up before his coffee goes cold… that’s up to Kon.

Bart zips around the room for another eternity, watching the steam rise off the fourth cup.

And just as it seems the liquid’s lost all heat, the heart monitor beeps.

Tim’s eyes flicker open.

Cassie exhales. Bart stops. Kon chuckles,

“Told you so.”

Song totally for the bio of Robin :]

Humble Beginnings

At the age of nine, Drake deduces the identities of Batman and Robin as Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson while watching a fight against the Penguin, and noting a gymnastic move by Robin that Grayson displayed while performing with the Flying Graysons.

After noting that Batman has grown reckless and violent following the death of second Robin Jason Todd, Tim tries to convince Grayson to become Robin again. Dick agrees but maintains his Nightwing identity. Drake stresses that Batman needs an actual Robin and convinces Alfred Pennyworth to give him the uniform. Robin saves Batman from a battle with Two-Face.

Obeah Man captures Drake’s parents Jack and Janet Drake before he can become Robin officially. Tim sits at home and tracks down the hacker/thief Anarky, thus solving his first solo case while Batman tries to save his poisoned parents from Obeah Man.

Unfortunately Janet is killed, but he saves Jack who is comatose. When Scarecrow kidnaps Batman and Vicki Vale and after saving them, Drake is allowed to be Robin. He chooses a redesigned costume.

After Batman gives Tim the mantle, he sends the boy abroad to learn fighting skills so he will not repeat Jason Todd’s errors. One of these steps is going to Paris to learn fighting skills from a master martial artist named Rahul Lama.

Tim is forced to face Jason Todd’s murderer, the Joker, without Batman’s help, and teams up with the Huntress against an older Robin nemesis, the King Snake.

Meanwhile, Tim’s father, Jack, emerges from his coma, paralyzed from the waist down. This new handicap and the loss of his wife leaves Jack with the desire to reconnect with his son. Tim’s duties as the Boy Wonder and his close relationship with Bruce Wayne cause a greater rift between Jack and Tim, though they attempt to reconcile.

In time, Jack regains the use of his legs with the aid of a physical therapist, Dana Winters. Dana is eventually possessed by a witch’s spirit and fights Robin, Spoiler, Wildcat, and Black Canary. Jack then marries her after she is freed.

Tim becomes involved with a handful of girls, including a Russian girl named Ariana Dzerchenko and Stephanie Brown, the Cluemaster’s daughter, who rejects her father’s lifestyle and adopts the identity of Spoiler and reveals she is pregnant from a previous relationship. Tim helps deliver the baby girl and Stephanie places her for adoption.

Young Justice and the Teen Titans

Tim Drake, like other young superheroes, tends to stay with heroes in his age demographic and Gotham City heroes. Of the newer generation of teen heroes, his best friends are Superboy and Impulse, and the three of them form a team together, Young Justice, which debands after the death of Donna Troy.

Cyborg, Starfire and Beast Boy bring Robin, Superboy, Wonder Girl and Impulse (later known as Kid Flash) together to form the new Teen Titans, a mixture of adult members and teenagers. While Cyborg takes the lead, Robin is often seen as the leader of the younger members, even going against the direct orders of the elder Titans.

Tim’s father, Jack Drake, discovers Tim is actually Robin[9]. Jack tells him to quit or he’ll reveal the identities of Batman and Nightwing. Tim says he’ll quit being Robin if Bruce and Dick can continue their hero careers unaltered. As a result, Batman takes Robin’s girlfriend and fellow teen hero, Stephanie Brown, as a new Robin, but she is tortured by Batman’s enemy Black Mask, and the Bat-family doctor, Leslie Thompkins, makes it appear as if she died on the operating table as a lesson to Bruce to not use teenage sidekicks again. Tim realizes that he has to continue as Robin, and his father grudgingly agrees that Gotham needs him.

Identity Crisis and Blüdhaven

In the Identity Crisis limited series, Tim’s father Jack Drake is killed by Captain Boomerang. Bruce Wayne soon adopts Tim.

After the events of the Infinite Crisis, Bruce, Dick Grayson, and Tim travel the planet retracing Bruce’s original journey to become Batman. One Year Later, at Connor’s funeral, Drake adopts a new red and black costume to honor his fallen friend, and upon his return to Gotham City, he relocates to the Carriage House, which has been converted into a loft and Robin’s new “nest”. He finds out the Spoiler is still alive and has been working secretly for the Penguin, but she resigns from him.

Tim continues to lead the new Teen Titans team, but following the death of Batman, decides to leave so as to help protect Gotham. Wonder Girl takes over as the new leader.

Batman R.I.P. and Battle for the Cowl

In the “Batman R.I.P.” storyline, Batman has gone missing, and Robin and Spoiler search for him. Robin witnesses the events surrounding Batman’s mysterious disappearance, and he is the one who reveals to Commissioner Gordon how the Batman Family was able to unveil the conspiracy against the late Thomas Wayne.

Tim dresses in a Batman costume to combat Jason Todd, who is dressed in an armored Batman costume and murdering wrongdoers.

During the fight, Jason stabs him with a batarang, disabling him and leaving him for dead. Todd then seemingly blows him up, but the costume saves Tim’s life.

After Dick Grayson takes up the mantle of Batman, he gives the title of Robin to Damian Wayne, claiming that Robin is a student of Batman and that he sees Tim as an equal. Tim begrudgingly accepts Tim goes on to tell Spoiler that he will be leaving Gotham for an unspecified period of time. He is now the new Red Robin - an identity that is already tarnished and independent of the bat family - traveling the world searching for Bruce Wayne.

To be continued.
Just a typical day for a speedster.

-The young speedster was finally at rest. Well at least for the moment. He laid on top of a well known skyscraper in Central City. It was tough work patrolling the twin cities, but it was sure worth every breath of it. No city showed as much love for their superhero as did Keystone and Central that displayed so much love and support by having commemorative statues and posters left and right in local shops and restaurants.-

-By his side were at least thirty five empty pizza boxes stacked up into a sort of battle fort. It seemed like a very peaceful day despite talking the Trickster back into returning to prison, all it took was a quick game of rock, paper, scissors. Wally was out spending some quality time with the wife and kids. He could afford to after all. With so many speedsters roaming the place it gave room for being “normal”. Barry on the other hand had an important meeting with the Justice League. Jay retired a long time ago so it was up to Bart to do the patrolling for the day.-

“God.. I can’t wait to go back!” -As much as Bart loved his home he felt home sick. His second true home was back with the Titans. In his opinion there was no greater feeling then fighting a never ending war to keep peace and protect the values of justice with his long term friends. When it all started Tim and Conner were like the older brothers. Tim being the responsible one and Conner being the jock. Bart was simply the annoying little bro with a enthusiastic spirit. Cassie on the other hand was the sister Bart always admired in every way. There was absolutely nothing that Bart wouldn’t do for them.-

“ I wonder what the guys are up to right about now. Eh it wouldn’t hurt to stop by and grab another bite at the tower heh.”

-And with that Bart took off leaving a red and yellow streak in his path. There was that enthusiastic smile on his face he just couldn’t wait. Kid Flash’s appetite was the only way he could gain energy in order to function at full throttle.–

“This is not a typical day..” -A few police sirens went off just a few blocks away. -

“I spoke much too soon.” -A police chase was in progress and Bart didn’t hesitate to rush to the scene. It appeared to be a bank robbery. Four armed men in black ski masks were clearly the suspects. Bart let out a soft chuckle under his breath after seeing the car model.-

“Nothing like a six four Impala aye?” –The police officers of Central noticed the yellow and red streak as Kid Flash zoomed by. They started to slow down a bit being that they knew the routine. They had no doubt that one of their precious heroes was going to stop this in a flash. Puns totally intended. –

-Kid Flash appeared on the suspects driver side with a confident grin on his face.- “I’m pretty sure those guys back there want you to stop. Don’t you think that might be your best solution? “

– The driver aimed a gun he was hiding towards the speedster. He wasn’t quick enough but that wasn’t a shocker. Bart yanked it right out of the gunmen’s hand. He even took the time to examine it. “ Oh wow your packing a nine? This requires a bullet with a diameter of 9 millimeters, similar in size to a caliber of .357 of an inch. Larger bullets have greater stopping power, but must be fired from bigger guns that are hard to conceal, heavy to carry. Guns using .357- or 9-millimeter cartridges are either revolvers or semiautomatic pistols known as “nines.” The revolver, a comparatively simple device dating from the early 19th century, commonly fires six rounds from a cylinder that rotates with each pull of the trigger. The semiautomatic, which dates from the late 19th century, typically fires cartridges from a magazine that fits in the gun’s grip. As each cartridge is discharged, the recoil drives a heavy slide surrounding the gun’s barrel. Traveling back and forth in a fraction of a second, the slide automatically re cocks the firing pin, ejects the spent casing and moves a fresh cartridge from the magazine into the firing chamber.”

-Of course Allen spouted out these facts as quickly as possible. Bart was a human encyclopedia pretty much being that he had a unique photographic memory. He remembered everything from dictionaries to coupons and infomercials. It didn’t take long before he quickly reached into the car in an instant. His first objective was to turn off the car while in that same motion pull on the emergency brake. The car came to a sudden jolt. The four robbers scrambled to get out of the car. Being able to move at the speed of light came in handy once again. Bart was smart enough to take all of their ammo before stopping to confront them head on.-

“Okay now does anyone just happen to have a get out of jail free card?” -This was a fairly easy task for Allen. He had the fortune of not having to deal with one of the Rogues or any other super villains. The police officers showed up just in time to cuff them without Bart having to subdue them himself. It only took Bart two minutes to get this messed cleaned up.-

“Awesome, so that takes care of that. Now about that left over Chinese in the fridge. I hope Cy didn’t spot it behind the tofu!

The Flash’s Weakness isn’t Kryptonite or the color yellow. It’s the one thing we have to do to escape solitary. We have to slow down..”-Barry Allen.
